Eco-Therapy

Ecotherapy is also known as nature based therapy or green therapy. Ecotherapy supports people to explore and nurture a relationship with nature. Ecotherapy is based on the belief that people are connected to the earth and that this connection can help to foster mental and spiritual wellness.
There is a correlation between connecting to nature and a decrease in depressive and anxiety symptoms. Ecotherapy interventions can support people's capacity to feel grounded and anchored during challenging times. A core value in ecotherapy is to respect the natural environment and honor its sacredness. Ecotherapy practices teach people to connect with nature when they are outdoors, indoors, and throughout all four seasons.
